The CCO is a non-profit organization open to all music lovers, sponsored by the Colchester Parks & Recreation Department. Started in 2002 by conductor John Ringo and his wife Cheryl, we have members from towns all over Connecticut. With members ranging in age from 10 to 70, from students to professional music teachers, the CCO is a true community group!
The CCO is comprised of both an orchestra and a choir. We perform a wide variety of music, from classical pieces such as Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, to Pops pieces such as Harry Potter, present day show stopping hits from Phantom of the Opera, and much more.
If you are planning an event, booking the CCO as your musical entertainment will make it an affair to remember!
Our Summer Pops concert is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 6:30pm at the Colchester Federated Church, 60 S Main Street, Colchester CT. More details will be posted soon!
We had a wonderful time performing our classical concert on Sunday March 11th. If you missed it, here's a link to videos of the concert: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAKXfJMPyYBkVwKB9U2rhSaW7lNvgdfvJ
Of course, videos are never as good as being there, so we hope to see you at our next concert!
