The CCO is a non-profit organization open to all music lovers, sponsored by the Colchester Parks & Recreation Department. Started in 2002 by conductor John Ringo and his wife Cheryl, we have members from towns all over Connecticut. With members ranging in age from 10 to 70, from students to professional music teachers, the CCO is a true community group!
The CCO is comprised of three groups, the orchestra, choir, and jazz band. We perform a wide variety of music, from classical pieces such as Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, to Pops pieces such as Harry Potter, present day show stopping hits from Phantom of the Opera, Big Band Jazz, and more.
If you are planning an event, booking the CCO as your musical entertainment will make it an affair to remember!
If you missed our last concert, we had a wonderful program. Here is a link to our YouTube channel!
We partnered with Toasty Toes and Warm Hearts, and they were very grateful for donations of new socks and laundry detergent to help the homeless throughout New London County.
Rehearsals have started for our June 4th concert, where we will feature Larry Gareau playing the Hummel Trumpet Concerto in Eb!
Come Join Us!
We rehearse on Thursday evenings, at the William J. Johnston Middle School in Colchester, CT. Seats are open in all sections, no auditions required. Come play with us! Everyone is welcome.
